COMPREHENSIVE KINESTHETIC VIDEO ANALYSIS (KVA)

In a recent court ruling, it was deemed that surveillance alone was not enough to simply close a claim file or decline benefits. As such, this core service was developed to provide an effective solution to our clients of many disciplines to validate the claim for legitimacy.

This service provides a comprehensive scientific analysis of a person’s movements through a comparison of medical documentation and secured video evidence obtained through surveillance.

• Presents court worthy evidence to support your decisions.

At iDEA a Certified Kinesiologist analyzes the video surveillance of a personal injury claimant. Each movement performed by the claimant or employee throughout the surveillance is documented, analyzed, and compared with the medical documentation. A report is constructed identifying the complimentary and contradictory movements between the observed movements and the documented limitations.

INITIAL STEP™ CLAIMANT INTERVIEW

The Initial Step™ in understanding the nature and validity of a claim is conducted through an in-depth interview in the home of a person submitting a claim. This non-medical oriented interview is used as an extension of the client/claimant relationship and provides detailed information regarding the accident and injury, pre- and post- accident medical status, reported limitations of activities of daily living, reported limitations relating to return to work, or questions specific to the claim at hand.

CLAIMANT ASSESSMENT INTERVIEW

Through an in depth interview, a Certified Kinesiologist focuses on how the injuries sustained have affected a person’s activities of daily living and provides recommendations which will assist in the rehabilitation process.

SCHEDULING OF ASSESSMENTS AND EVALUATIONS

As an extension of our client, we also provide scheduling of medical related assessments, including IMEs. Working with your approved physicians and assessors from coast to coast, our focus is to ensure a smooth process so your focus can be on case managing the claim.

OTHER SERVICES

WORKPLACE AND JOB DEMANDS ANALYSIS (JDA)

A qualified iDEA professional can perform an assessment of any workplace in order to determine the physical demands or requirements of a particular job. A Job Demands Analysis is used to evaluate the forces required and the stresses generated at a particular job. This analysis provides a detailed description of the work station through observations and interviews and breaks down the essential job tasks, including distances, forces and other factors.

FUNCTIONAL ABILITIES EVALUATION (FAE)

FAEs measure Ranges of Motion and determine the individual’s ability to perform tasks such as sitting, standing, walking, lifting, squatting, kneeling, bending, reaching, ascending and descending.

• This analysis can answer the question of whether or not an individual is able to return to his/her previous job.
